Our local PD just bought a FATS (Fire Arms Training Simulator) that will be
installed in their new HQ; about $80k.  From what I hear, it's about the next
best thing to being on the range.  The shooters tend to go in real
casual-like but the palms start to sweat =real= fast once the action starts.
:-)  The neat thing is that they're talking about opening it up to the public
when it's not being used by the officers.
