It's not really that difficult to be honest.  You just have to know a
bit about how a doorkit works and enough about your favorite programming
language (I use Pascal) to do it.  I'm currently upgrading all of my
doors to my current development setup and am working on some new doors.

I have had reports from my beta team that my doors will work correctly
under DOSEMU on 32-bit Linux systems.

For the BBS, it's OS/2, but for me personally, I use Windows because I
have to use programs that have no good substitute under any other OS.
