DD>>> Not here, they don't have peanut butter - they have peanut
 DD>>> paste.....

 JY>> Odd, that. In the US (here we go again, David) "peanut
paste" is
 JY>> the pure product as received from the mill;" peanut butter" is
 JY>> peanut paste with sugar added. The latter is a foodstuff while
 JY>> the former in an indegredient used in making various foodstuffs;
 JY>> it's available in 55 (US)-gallon drums.

 DD> They buy it here in 375gm jars.... How long does it take you to get
 DD> through 55 (US) gallons of it?

If my wife were to let me eat all that I wanted of it after adding my own
sugar, about a week..

 DD> I don't think the naming is Australia-wide either.

 DD> I notice that the jar we have is labelled "peanut
butter", but "she
 DD> who must be obeyed", a Brisbanite, calls it peanut paste.

Perhaps they were deprived of the sugar in Brisbane? ;-)

 DD> It has 5% added sugar.

 DD> In NZ it is (was) peanut butter.
