Hi IVY,
        The OUTPUTS are Solid State. EACH BAND has it's own Preamp to the 
finals, and the finals are able to handle up to 30:1 VSWR.The last guy that 
tuned it for me Did the adjusts all wrong, and with a power meter and dummy 
load, you can retune each band to the correct operating output (200 CW in all 
Bands).
        I just haven't had time to do anything with it, and at $50/hour for 
bench time, I wasn't going to have that guy spend 4 or 5 hours on "fine 
tuning".
        All of the instructions for doing the fine tune are in the Manual. 
And the Tuner needs the anti-backlash Spring Readjusted .

one of the radio shops. Another resource, your local County Services Radio 
Shop.
