The issue with elk or moose is that these are formidable big animals. Hit
them head-on, not even too fast, and you get the same effect as smashing
into a concrete wall ... i.e. your car is totalled. When that kind of
roadkill occurs however often people will try to recuperate the carcas as
it is good meat. But I think you need a license for it as if you were a
hunter.
I understand roos are a pest over at your place. Is that correct?
