I went positive today (unfortunately, as the big jumps were in
Email and Mayne Nickless :-(), and suddenly my retirement date
went from the year 265 to the year 2132. I decided to include
my age there as well, and it is now registering as 165. I
should probably work out the probability of me dying before
retiring, but I don't know the mean and standard deviation of
that. Or how to make my spreadsheet tell me the answer.

Frank, it looks like I've missed the call on MAY and EML, and
I don't want to panic-buy. I am instead thinking of getting
Emerging Markets Company Limited. Buyer at 90c. I think
that's close or at it's low. I realise that BT won't lend
against this, but I can always sell them if I really have to,
so they can still be considered "emergency buffer". I don't
really think I will need to though, as I have a large buffer
already and don't think I'll be back down there.

The other one I'm considering is MMF, as it is currently
selling for below my buy price. How about putting in a bid
around $2.50 - $2.60? I need another two parcels to borrow
the amount I originally wanted to borrow, and one MMF and one
Emerging Markets would probably be OK. I would also consider
two lots of Emerging Markets. BTW, when the stockmarket is
up, is it up for everything, or are there things like Emerging
Markets that go down while Australia goes up? Maybe instead
of Emerging Markets I'll get something else like Bouganville.
What would you suggest? Remember, I'm DEFINITELY NOT planning
on selling the thing for 5 years or longer. BFN. Paul.
