Having been using the exact same setup for the last year and a half and now
with the latest version of pppdial31.cmd you can automatically start your
internet and ftp mail pickup session for fidonet mail.
=====Begin: Binkley.cmd======
:=============================================================================
:=============================================================================
rem pppd.cmd calls pppdial.cmd otherwise when hitting ctrl-c the binkley.cmd
rem exits rather than resuming.
:F5
Echo Off
call pppd.cmd
GOTO START
:=============================================================================
=====Begin: PPPD.CMD======
ppp.exe com1 57600 mru 1500 rtscts modem defaultroute priority 1 notify exit
user droseb%%p secret "PASSWORD" idle 120 connect "pppdial.cmd"
=====END: PPPD.CMD======
This file pppd.cmd should be all one line when you make it for yourself.
"PASSWORD" is your password, the idle time is the value you want to change to
shorten it for yourself....
Otherthings you can change in here are the "notify exit" - deleting it gets
rid of that box thats popup when you lose your connection... I have always
found that thing to be very annoying...
:=============================================================================
=====END: Binkley.cmd======
Your problem lies in that pppdial is getting the time out information from
dial other internet provider dialer (slippm.exe)
In the dialer (slippm.exe) settings you will need to change it in here... if
you don't want to use the dialer settings you will need to create a response
file...
like the pppd.cmd one above.
Yours in the buff,
Donald
