| subject: | Warp Socket API for REXX |
Hello, Thank you everyone for the advice on RXSock.DLL. I've downloaded it recently and found it working to a certain degree. It is amazing to see how simple a Socket based client/server can be written in Rexx. But, the samples programs TEST_S.CMD and TEST_C.CMD for server and client component only working correctly only if I've connected to a host through SLIP dialup. I wonder if there is a way to configure my Warp IAK in such a way that does not required me to dialup, while 2 OS/2 session withclient and server components to talk to each other through Socket? I also hope all other programmer wanted to learn client/server computing that such a powerful platform exists on Warp+IAK+REXX+RxSock.DLL and it is literally free! By the way, has anyone used GammaTech's Rexx SuperSet? I've read the ad that it supports various IPC such as: named-pipe, Netbios, TCP/IP etc.. Thanks!
