I never knew you had doves before! I just remember the stories about the
Amazon! Well, congrats on coming back to bird ownership! When do you go
back for the second one?

You can hope, but don't hold your breath... BUT, you never
know--someone I know from the Internet was just GIVEN a totally
healthy young Eclectus parrot, for no reason other than the owner had
bought too many birds too quickly, and didn't have enough time to play
with them all. So you may well just find someone giving up an Amazon!

Thanks! She and the birds are coming to an uneasy truce, finally. They
only scream when she comes into the door to their room now, instead of
every time she breathes. She only goes toward them when there are cage
bars between them (after Kirsche Cherry-head worked up nerve to dent her
nose quite severely one day). Maybe soon I'll regain my hearing,
too...
