True, but there might be places in a policy, even for a technical
network, that require something that is not technical in nature. I too
would like a purely technical policy, but there could be problems with
that as well.
As a small example... I think....
Fidonet has some 9000+ nodes in it currently. There's no technical
reason for 6 Zones, all the Regions and all the Nets in Fidonet. It
could be done with one Zone and one Net.
On a technical basis, Fidonet should operate as follows.... One Zone
and one Net. When that Net becomes full, start another Net. Fill
vacated addresses first. Nice, tight Nodelist that is easy to parse
and other pluses.
Write that into P4. :-))
