I seem to have received a few replies along the lines of yours...i.e.
teach the kids how to do the laundry!
I think I will consider it more seriously, especially after these
several replies.
During the summer, as you know, I was gone from my family for 8 weeks.
It was just Dad and the two kids on their own. Dad DID make them help
with many household chores, including the laundry. They did sorting and
spotting (i.e. spraying with Spray & Wash and scrubbing the stains).
When I returned in August, I seem to have fallen back into my old role
and let the kids do the same. :-( I will have to work a bit harder at
getting them to do more family-type chores. Right now they get away with
only being mostly responsible for their own messes and toys, etc..
