You could always make a function that you call instead of WinLoadString that has a 64k buffer on the stack, loads the string into said buffer, does a strdup on it, and returns the pointer that gives. Just a thought. (Probably a bad idea considering that malloc under OS/2 works in 4k chunks... But I'm sure you can come up with something.)
