To remind someone of what they said on a position, yes..

To repeatedly bludgeon them over the head with it, no.

Explaination:

If they ignore you, fail to retract or explain their change in position
after a limited amount of reminders, chances are they arent going to.
Therefore repeated quotes could be construed as disruptive to the echo.

These quotes cannot have been originally from this echoes older days.
