NP>EP> No, that's a "vetting process". Public education is getting

NP>No dictionary in my office contains the word vett or vetting.

Uh, Nolan, look up the verb to "vet."
This reminds me of the time I put someone down for claiming that
there was a .38 Special cartridge loaded with a 200 grain bullet.
Since even .357 magnums only go to 180 grains, I thought it was
ridiculous. But then I looked in a 1970-something Shooters Bible
and saw that there really was a 200 grain factory loaded .38
special cartridge at one time.
It means "to examine or appraise expertly."
