LE> Frankly, I think we should just go to Unicode. It has provisions LE> for specifying subsets and switching them, so you can ID the LE> subset at the start of block, and just use 8-bit chars in the LE> block, and still "escape" to use 16-bit chars inside that block LE> for small quotes or special symbols. And you can even switch LE> subsets. Or so I'm told. Agree! But for now its impossible because there is no kludge defined to do that. I think we have to wait until Tobias Ernst (Member of FTSC) has done his work. For now you can use any codepage you like - but only in mails you absolutly know the receiver uses the same. --- Sqed/32 1.15/development* Origin: home of sqed: http://www.sqed.de (2:2476/493) SEEN-BY: 201/0 200 209 300 329 400 407 411 505 600 203/600 204/450 700 205/0 SEEN-BY: 206/0 396/1 490/21 633/267 270 @PATH: 2476/493 480 2410/201 2432/200 774/605 106/1 396/1 201/505 633/267 |
