I tried to compile and fixed the makefile until it worked. The sourcecode
comes with appropriate definitions suitable for gcc (define __32BIT__ and
__FLAT__).

The patched devkit may be fetched from

The DLL created (msgapi32.dll) is 1 KB smaller than the one that comes with
squish :-)
