WinSock version 2.0 extended the WinSock standard to support plugable =
service providers. This means that ISVs can extend or otherwise muck =
with your sockets without replacing the sockets DLL. I believe you can =
see if you have WinSock 2.0 by looking for WS2_32.DLL.
If you have static DNS, instead of trying PING, try NSLOOKUP. Use =
"set debug" and "set d2" to see the raw requests and responses.

Actually I do have static DNS... and static IP as well. That's how we=20
configure DSL here.
I'm guessing that the system is fragged and he's going to get to=20
reinstall it. That will keep him from running SpyNuker again.
