Filesystem used in linux, ext2fs, is robust and fast. And disk cache in linux
is lot speedier than in OS/2.

I have had more OS/2 traps than Linux crashes. In fact, during the years I
have used linux, I recall about five crashes. Once, when I tested the f00f
bug - before it was fixed in kernel. Twice I have had scsi-problems - like
nonfunctioning terminator etc. Once I really managed to crash kernel - by
playing doom with a kernel not meant to be used in production. And once my
wife accidentally pushed the reset button.
I am by no means trying to say OS/2 is poor, or even that Linux would be
better. I loved OS/2 when I used it. It's just, that for my use I find Linux
a lot more functional.
