Hello All!

A couple of years ago I wrote EchoFix (available from the URL below) - a
program to read through Squish.cfg, Maximus's msgarea.ctl, and sqafix.cfg
and/or backbone.na, and build/maintain the Maximus message areas based on
what was in the other files (eg add areas, add descriptions, remove areas
not found in Squish.cfg, alter the paths to match squish.cfg..)

I'd like to widen it's scope, perhaps with some form of scripting language
that would let it handle both binary and text cfg's which could potentially
cover all BBS's, tossers and areafix programs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what else they'd like to see in it, if
they think it's worth doing at all?

I wrote it to save me the task of creating 300-odd new areas on the BBS
when it'd gone a while without echo updates despite my adding several to
the system each week for a while. Others have found it as usefull but with
the quietness of Fido it's not as usefull now. However, would love to know
if others would like to see an update before I spend a lot of time
re-learning how the program works, then making major changes to it.
