I'm not sure what Greenspan is doing, just have to hope the classic
'greenspeak mumble' is right as has been the case during his tenure so far.
I don't believe there is any agenda on his part for a couple reasons: first
he was recently reappointed by the Dems, and second he's at an age where a
new term will most likely not appeal to him, so there is no personal
advantage to him to help the GOP in. In all reality, which party occupies
the Whitehouse has little to do with how well the economy performs, so even
if his motive were altruistic for the country, it still wouldn't point
toward helping one party over another.

|Why do you think Gore is proposing twice-weekly debates?

One reason could be to get that "Bush Smirk" in front of more
voters in a one on one, rather than an staged/edited Bush campaign arranged
media appearance.

Generally speaking I'm pro GOP, but I'm afraid they've just plain blown it
this time. Bush is not his father.
