Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I understand what you were saying much 
more clearly now.  I must admit, when electric cars are mentioned, I always 
think of the old English milk vans! 
What do you think of the potential of solar cars?  We have a solar car race 
from Darwin to Adelaide in which all sorts of people from hotshot 
universities to manufacturers to secondary schools take part.  The cars seem 
to get faster and more efficient each year - will they ever be viable as a 
family car?
