I assume you have high mounts. The sighting of a gun at the 10 yard mark
is probably a mistake. Find the point in the guns trajectory that is the
absolute highest point. Keep shoooting between 25 and 35 yards until you
can't find where it prints any higher. That's the distance you sight in
at and then you determine how many clicks/or how much hold over at all
other distances. The guns rainbow trajectory will confuse you if you do
it any other way. Your adjustments for elevation will always be in the
counterclockwise direction regardless of whether your shooting at the
short range and are compensating for the convergence on the muzzle or
compensating for the drop that will occur after the pellet starts to
fall off the peak of the trajectory at which point you are compensating
for the inevitable fall to the ground. Just confusing until you consider
how much higher the sight line is relative to the bore line. The actual
expected. Go out and map your trajectory at every distance you have and
you will see what I mean. Shoot at every 5 yards from 5-40 if you can.
You'll learn a lot. It is the only way to know your pellet path and to
actually hit what you aim at. Now get to work.

Gravity sucks.
