Thank you for your remarks.  I agree that the views expressed in the
October Monitor seriously undrmine the credibility of the organization
in the eyes (and noses, might I add) of guide dog users and their canine
companions.  I should point out, however, that the current National
Federation of the Blind of Canada is not directly tied to NFB of the
U.S.  I do not believe that the canadian groups shares Dr. Jernigan's
views.  Paul Gabias is one of its leaders and is a strong guide dog
advocate.
