Note (which you probably already know, but for any who might not):
DosFindFirst can find some files that DosQ(uery)PathInfo can't, due to
permission "limitations" of the latter.  Therefore, using
DosQ(uery)PathInfo to determine if a file exists isn't a good idea under
many circumstances.
