Sheila,
        By the sound of it, Australia is a little behind in the information 
explosion that had occurred. However, it would seem that we are quick to pick 
up. Apparently, there are 50,000 new internet and e-mail users every month, 
and in the order of 2 million users within Australia nationally.
        It would cost that avarage citizens here around 20 to 25 dollars a 
month for e-mail and the internet. However, it is mainly business poeple who 
feel the need to have such programmes, also teachers and government workers 
take up another large percentage of the users.
        However, I feel in the near future that there will be many more users 
how have such access within the community and will use it to its full 
advantage. Links within the schools I believe need to be set up as soon as 
possible.
