Hi Richard! On 29.07.95 00:48 you wrote to Tom Williams: RP> EMX is the GNU freeware compiler. It works fine, but it's a real RP> bear to learn (I'm trying to learn it myself...) Compared to CSet++ it's quite easy :-) It mainly uses the *ix standard command line syntax - if you know this one you know all. Thus there are still some companies (like IBM) that come along with something new and even stranger that now really nobody understands :-) But [serious again], EMX is really one of the easiest to learn compilers. To find out something about the compiler itself you should print out the manual (texinfo format - can be compiled to TeX .dvi) or just view it via info (I'd suggest even both). To get to know the OS/2 specials added by E.Matthes there's the OS/2 .inf docs. OK, you might say I don't need that all when I use Borland C/C++ but would you _seriously_ consider this?
