Easy enough to point these to paths that won't have inbound mail.

That's also easy enough to fix. In your TIMED.CFG put the line :
LocalArea "Second Linux Area" LINUX_2
That way, you should be able to get TimEd to recognise the area without any
problems, although it won't (correctly) write an entry to the ECHOTOSS.LOG
file.
