ORIGINALLY UPLOADED TO HOLODECK BBS

Just learned why this (and others) post didn't go out. Mike Roberts, the SysOp
of Holodeck BBS laid down to take a nap and never woke up. DAMN!

Well, TBH, it's not a Commode Door group any longer. Even Dave Stevens, an
Amiga loyalist, runs his Amiga stuff on an emulator on his PeeCee. But, the
people who attend are people from the old user group days - when such groups
were handy to have around for the survival, care and feeding of the "new
technology" of home computing. Bv)=

The more-or-less leader of that group used to work for Burroughs and wrote and
ran the first multi-line BBS (in UNIX, no less) that I ever logged in on. Even
featured newsgroup access. I could download 80 column porn on my 40 column C=64
(at a blazing 300 baud with my TotalTel modem).

If you drop by, it's second Wednesdays and we begin around 6:30. Ask Louie, the
bartender where we're hiding. He knows me even if he may not know that we're
all computer geeks.

... The only thing worse than a woman you can't control is a woman you can.
