The Binkley 2.50 C source code, the aforementioned V7ENG10.* (Turbo Pascal,
derived from the former), and the Opus 1.70 API are the only sources I've
been able to find. There are no specs, as such, to my knowledge.

Apparently Scott Samet had earlier done it in Pascal (CBTREE.PAS) and Phil
Becker did it 'nice' in assembler, but I've never found either. Someone
(:-) told me once that Alberto Pasquale (FASTLST author) may have released
some code, but I've not followed that up ...

The first 2 above provide lookup code only, the latter (and btree updating)
requiring the Mix C database toolbox libraries - proprietary but very
cheap.

As for Version 6, I found the Parselst 1.30 source comprehensible enough,
and again the Bink 2.50 source provides all you need for lookup.

Happy hunting,

Ian
