ac> Hi Mark, i am using telix 3.51 reg, can you tell me if there is a
ac> patch to this prog to read my modem as a 33.6 vice 28.8, in the
ac> modemcfg i can not find a 33.6 setting for my usr 33.6
ac> fax/voicemail. So, when i connect with others 33.6 i only get a
ac> 28.8 reading.
Andre, 3.51 works perfectly with a 33.6 modem without making any
changes to the program. Your _modem_ sends it's connect speed as
text, and that's what Telix reads. If Telix is displaying 28800,
that's what your modem is connecting at.
I believe you have a USR modem. After you finish your next
connection, type ATI6 and press Enter in the terminal screen. Have a
look at the bottom of the display and you'll see the latest connect
speeds - one for sending and one for receiving. Note that these
speeds can (and often will) change during a connection.
