   The answer is not in Auto or Config. The file called MSDOS.SYS. There is
 a line BootGUI make that line looke like this
 BootGUI=0

   This will stop the WIN command from automatically running at the end of
 your autoexec. Also if you press F8 when you see the starting windows 95
 prompt you will see the option of booting into a previous version of DOS
 & when you are shutting down, when you see the it is now safe to turn your
 computer off screen if you type mode co80 you will get a C:\ prompt.
