The only reason the same port is being used, is because it's only one telnet
server. It's a single telnet server that acts as a frontend for more than one
thing (in the Argus family, it happens to be for a mailer and a BBS. Other
softwares (Gamesrv, Synchronet, others?) can do the same, though maybe not with
a mailer, but you could answer with either listed above, and then have a menu
of services to pick from if you wish (ie: you could run multiple BBSs if that's
what you fancy).

It's still only /one/ telnet server.
