No, it didn't. The Internet BROUGHT people into the fold. It allowed LONG 
DISTANCE FANS to hear about their favorite team. For someone in Florida, who 
might be a fan of the Mariners, he has no choice but to sit on his thumbs 
until the Mariners show up on ESPN, FX or Fox. With the Internet, he could 
keep tabs of the Mariners, just as long distance fans of other teams could 
keep tabs of them. MLB did the ABSOLUTELY WRONG THING.
