on average spamcop will get 2 complaints for every 1000 spams that makes it
thru the server, so if that many spams were to get out from nls.net then we
deserved to be blacklisted. Once the spam is stopped from going out and you
have responded to the spamcop notifications you get unlisted.
I've been there, see
http://spamcop.net/w3m?action=checkblock&ip=216.144.3.10 and look at
the listing history. It only took a couple hours to get unlisted once I
found we had been listed. I've had countless customers get listed as well
and have never had a problem getting them unlisted either, but only ONCE
THE SPAM STOPPED. If you attempt to get unlisted before you stop the spam
then it will take 48 hours after the last complaint to get off the
blacklist.
