RW>>> car. I remember it well. A waste of a perfectly good
RW>>> piece of machinery. Although, I would have been happier
RW>>> to see a Mudstain (Mustang) hit the last set of
RW>>> barricades and blow to little bitty pieces.

DC>> I do believe it was _Vanishing Point_

ml>> or was it _White Line Fever_ ??

DC> That one had to do with truckers.

not the one that that i recall... in the end, the driver was so drugged out
and hyped up on speed that he couldn't tell that the road was blocked by
two bulldozers, one in each lane, set up by the cops or whoever it was that
was trying to stop him... all he could see and follow was the dotted line
in the center of the road... he drove the car, at highspeed, right into the
bulldozer blades and never knew it... the road and surrounding area
suggested a location in the midwest... very straight, very dry, very flat,
very brown...

a quick search at www.imdb.com does show a movie called _White Line Fever_
done in 1975 with Jan-Michael Vincent starring in it and that it is
apparently the trucking related one that you speak of above...

further searching hasn't turned up what i'm thinking of ;( i obviously have
the title wrong and don't remember much more than that ending... heck, i
can almost see the guy driving the car... it wasn't steve mcqueen or nick
nolte but geez, the vision in my mind is so faint... it is an
"old" movie... late 60's or early 70's...
