AS> Have a new US robotics 33.6 modem downloading goes great

When I got my USR Sportster 14.4, I had great problems with one
board. I finally tracked it down to the S register. The command
S27=0 fixed it up. I've found in talking to people, that USR's tend
to be temperamental because the user can do so much configuring of
them, but, once they're working, they're great.
In case it helps, here the current setting for my Sportster:
DIAL=PULSE B0 F1 L2 M1 X4 BAUD=19200 PARITY=N WORDLEN=8
&A1 &B1 &G0 &H1 &I0 &K3 &M4 &N0 &P0 &R2 &S0 &T5 &Y1
S00=001 S02=043 S03=013 S04=010 S05=008 S06=002 S07=060
S08=002 S09=006 S10=015 S11=070 S12=050 S13=000 S14=000
S15=000 S19=000 S21=010 S22=017 S23=019 S24=000 S25=005
S26=000 S27=032 S28=008 S29=020 S31=000 S32=000 S33=000
S34=006 S35=000 S36=014 S37=000 S38=000 S41=000 S42=000
S43=000 S44=015 S51=000
The most help I got in setting it up was from a fellow named Jeff
Marchi, who frequents the ILINK USR modems and the ILINK Windows
conferences. He really knows his way around USRobotics stuff. I
haven't ever seen his name in a FIDO echo, but that's not to say he
isn't here, also.
Good luck.
