subject: line noise?

Hi all. Well I finally got my TTY set up again with the TTY number for
VCO with Verizon. I am happy to report I don't have to hit shift V for
the VCO notice anymore. Upon connection the text reads talk or type
NOW (I guess this is for non VCO use. (Voice Over).

My first call locally (hubby's cell phone) went well. But long
distance to my Sister in Vancouver produced the same garbled text I
had experienced with another non fiber optic server. It's not typos.
It's letters missing or punctuations inserted, or numbers appearing as
letters. Line noise I think it's called. I'm going to ask the op next
time after a call .. about it. Has anyone here had that experience?
Kinda makes it hard to read the text.

Thanks. Cindy

... What's another word for "thesaurus" ?
