That type of a main frame is referred as a "file server", and the 
dummies is called a "terminal" or "work-station".  A modern main frame 
is a computer which has far more capability than a standard PC.  
Instead of having megs for ram, most have gigs.  Instead of having gigs 
for hardrives, they have gog's(sp).  These monsters still take up a 
whole room.  These are a far cry from the toys that we use at work( my 
too included ) and play with in our homes. Thanks for your input.
