-=> Quoting Chet Rhodes to Richard St. John <=-
CR> In the past we have stayed off site when my wife and I visited. We
CR> had a really nice room and the hotel offered transportation. At that
CR> time we opted to use our own though since we wanted additional
CR> mobility.
I know what you mean there. Usually my wife and I fly into Tampa and
then drive to Orlando and use a rental car because we like Fantasia Golf
and Disney Village, Rainforest Cafe, etc. On our honeymoon we went down
and stayed on the complex with no other transportation. But it was her
first time down there.
CR> With the crowd we are taking this time transportation is a definite
CR> concern but we were more interested in the early access that WDW guest
CR> are provided. We figure that the extra hour each day will allow us more
CR> time to get around to other sites outside of the parks during the
CR> evening if we choose. :)
Just remember that the one hour each day is not EVERY park. Only one a
day is open an hour early. And I may have mispoken, it may be 90 minutes
rather than only an hour.
Another advantage of staying on a WDW resort is that your room key can
be used as a charge card in the complexes. Left everythign in the safe
and only carried my room key which was my entry ticket and charge card.
