Hello mark,
On Sunday March 01 2015 12:04, you wrote to me:

It turns out I was wrong.

Yes, InterMail is a fork of FrontDoor.
It took me a while to find it, but InterMail does indeed have the option to not
pick up file requests. It is not where one would expect to find it; in the file
request section. One can configure a lot of things there, like who may request,
max size of the request, Limited time slots, password protection on directories
or individual files and more. But not pick up file requests.
It is hidden in the event manager. One can configure it per event. One can also
refuse picking up any mail there btw.
In all the years that I have used InereMail, I never knew about this option.
Goe to show how badly I needed it. It was just "not done" here.

Yes, Irex can handle freqs. But if it has an option to deny picking up file
requests, I have not found it.

What if the option is not available in the softwre that one uses?

Forcing someone to install another mailer is also annoying.
Putting file requests on hold was just "not done" here.

Thank you. I love you too.

Exactly what I said: on a metered account the user is charged for the number of
bytes received. How does that not apply to a response on a picked up file
request?
