Jeff, at 16:02 on Sat, Apr 29 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley ... JG>> Use NetMgr. Set it up and then leave it alone. After a little JG>> while, you'll forget that you even twitted anyone. BG> In Rod's words, that's "dinosaur stuff". JG> ROTFL. That fuckwit is on my twit list. He's rated worse than EL JG> or RTL as they can still send personal messages to me. If you've run out of the yellow pills, I'll send you some of mine. |-) JG> I think you'll agree that I don't care what Rod thinks. Yeah, I think you've made that fairly obvious by now, and you'll have to forgive me for adopting a neutral position WRT this argument. BG> Whilst NetManager is a great app, I'd still sooner see such BG> a feature added to Msged itself, like so... JG> Talk to Paul. Nah, he's a loony too. |-) BG> Twit "Ron T Lewis" BG> Twit "Russell Coker" BG> I don't care if the messages are tossed into the message base BG> regardless, I just don't want to see them displayed in my message BG> list, that's all. JG> Then use NetMgr. As you know it'll wipe the messages out JG> completely and you wont see them displayed in your message list. I'd rather it could be done from within Msged itself though. Whilst Netmanager is very good, it's still a separate process, and successful integration into the various readers available is not a trivial matter. JG> Same function with the added bonus that you save on disk space if JG> you pack your message base every night as I do. I pack weekly, and save a fair bit that way. JG> BTW, I regained roughly 10 meg of disk space by twitting those JG> three people mentioned above. Are you so short of HD space that you need to do that though? Maybe it would be much easier to simply resize your message bases downwards? |-) JG> I don't suffer fools gladly. I know exactly what you mean. I won't suffer RTL at all any more.
