i signed up for a free account and got a special address to which i forward
spam to... then spamcop sends back an email with a URL that i click on to
process that one spam... on the process page, i just scroll down to the
"submit reports" button and click on it...
you can send multiple spams at once and the resultant email will have a
link for each one...
spams must be forwarded as an attachment with all headers and everything...
some systems have to go thru some hoops to be able to do it this way but
netscape makes it a quite simple process... on hotmail and some others, you
have to set some settings and then cut and paste the whole spam into the
message to spamcop... outlook and outlook express were pretty hoopy too but
i don't know about recent versions as i simply do not use them...
RB> Do they make a standalone product?
no... in addition to the free account, they also have a subscription
service... and somewhere in there, you can set spamcop as a filter which
you still need to go over to spamcop and process the spams... it is not an
automatic spam reporting service... the users must take some responsibility
for what they report as spam...
