Dial Up Internet may or may not be gone here (dont know as I have not tried it
in years), but it was an option I could use if the internet was not available
thru the local modem.  Not with my present supplier though.  As for VOIP, I
hope I never see it.  If your internet goes down, you don't just lose it, but
you lose your phone as well.  At least with copper, I can use a POTS line, even
if the power goes away, or the internet stops.  People say that is what cell
phones are for, but when the towers get overloaded to due a power outage they
are useless as well.
