Set scanned bases is for the "newscan" feature (ie: "N" from the message menu.
I think what you're referring to (ie: "Check for new mail" command) is for
local E-Mail only.

Netmail would be found and displayed with the "Newscan" feature, not the "Check
for new mail" one.
Maybe to fix any confusion, that string/prompt should be changed to "Check for
new E-Mail" instead of just mail?

You haven't missed any settings, you're just confusing two different features.
Try scanning for new messages, and you will se your netmail and echomail.
"Check for new mail" is for local email.
Also, you may want to upgrade to the stable version of Mystic. Currently v1.11.
I doubt bug reports will be accepted and/or fixed in v1.10 anymore.
Regards,
Nick
