Drastic but understood.

It's been in decline for quite a long time :-(

The internet is 99.9 percent fluff but that's what most
people appear to want.

Hey the latest release of Slackware operates quite adaquately on a 1998 IBM.

Linux does get more out of existing hardware than other operating systems,
particularly Mr. Bill Gates.

And it's free, and open source and you can find most any application for it
you might require.

The only place it seems to fall short is gaming and that I've no need of.

Uh yes, that would be an affirmative.
