Hi Lloyd,
Great to hear from my New Brunswick neighbors. I had wriiten to Diane Downs
earlier because her husband is originally from Maine. And yes Lloyd, we did
get some snow, but not much. Southern Maine is inundated with the white
stuff.
You say you've been to Camp Roosevelt? When did you last go? This summer we
had a troop from St.John, N.B. They were alot of fun. Camping with the Cub
Scouts is always a wonderful experience. I have never been involved much,
but since my 2 boys are in Scouting, I try to involve myself more.
Where in New Brunswick are you? A couple of years ago, our family went on a
camping trip to Eastern Canada crossing over in Woodstock through
Fredericton, up to Newcastle and to Canada's finest park called
Kouchibougouac??? I think that's how it's spelled. What an excellent
vacation. We even stopped over in Bouctouche to visit "La Sagouine" do her
play.
Our town is directly across the St.John River from Edmundston, N.B. What a
beautiful place that is. They gone all out to promote their Acadian culture
there.
Glad to know someone else involved in Scouting who is local.
Have a great holiday season!!
Y.I.S.
Don
