Well, that's certain okay!  If it ain't fun, don't do it!  (We got
enough unfun things we *have* to do, without taking on ones we don't

IOW--BBS slang for "in other words."  Sometimes you'll see articles
about emoticons and abbrev. used in computer messaging--like the :) for
smile--there're hundreds people have come up with, but, frankly, the
only ones I've seen used with any regularily are the smile, IOW for in
other words, IMO for in my opinion, FWIW for for what it's worth, G
for grina, and AFIAK for as far as I know.  It took me two years to
learn what FWIW meant, and then I never did figure it out for myself.
