jan, jd> is there any way to change the readonly-state of a entry- jd> field/combo-box/whatever? jd> jd> i want to prevent user from changing a field while in editmode.. jd> (logic? :-) I just looked in the docs, and it says that while the combo box responds to most of the listbox and entryfield messages (EM_SETREADONLY being the one you're interested in), the EM_SETREADONLY message is not listed among them. You could try it, and if it doesn't work, try sending the entry field component of the combo the message explicitly, like this: WinSendMsg(WinQueryWindow(hwndCombo, CBID_EDIT), EM_SETREADONLY, (MPARAM)TRUE, 0); hope this helps.
