Check out DosShutdown(). It takes one parameter which can be either 0
(which shuts down the whole system), or 1, which, according to the docs
I've got, stops all threads, but does not lock the file system, and
processing can resume at a later time. I hope this gets to you, I'm not
replying to your original message...

I'm sure he's taken these things into consideration, and would
probably only allow a program to reboot his machine while he was using
it ONCE, if ever. I know that I, for one, don't much like asking a
valid question, and then being told that I shouldn't be asking it
because someone doesn't agree with what I'm trying to do.
