subject: Kermit on TeleGard

Hi Scott,

About "Kermit on TeleGard" of November 14:

SA> TG allows PDFs aka Protocol Definition Files... Its that easy.
MS> It's good to know that our .PDF can be that easy to install...
SA> ...they also help out on modem defs as well for init strings...
MS> Too late... ...`Win 2K' found it and i collected the whole setup...
SA> Well we are here to help if its TG related...

The results i collected so far only apply to `Maximus'... It would
help if i could cut the testing phase by doing the preliminaries myself!

SA> ...I assume from above your not running TG.
MS> My attempts to install `TeleGard' failed miserably...
SA> In what regards?
MS> I didn't figure out... ...then i received information i needed from
MS> my correspondant... hence, it wasn't necessary to consider the
MS> installation of BBS SoftWare, lucky me!
SA> Ok.

But i may have a change of mind soon, even if it's against my BBSer
beliefs to become SysOp for a minute... Real-life experience can reveal
tricky details, as when i tried to pass internal `Maximus' variables via
a batch-file and the contents shifted because some variables can inlcude
multiple strings which could become separate when these are passed over!

                                  %-b,

Perhaps `TG' also hides surprizes like these, waiting to puzzle me?

SA> Watch it, that evil moderator has that rule that long sigs aren't
SA> allowed... but I'm sure hes not watching. As if rule enforcement
SA> needs to be done in this day and age.
MS> I'm the old type, it does. But i made him busy so let him ask 1st!
SA> Yep Scott Adams TG_Sup Echo Moderator

You too? I thought there was only on moderator around, my mistake!

                                    Salutations, :)
